Repping The Lead Generator
Introduction
We had a Repping Program a couple of years ago when The Lead Generator was a bbs, and it was pretty popular. And since we brought The Lead Generator up on the Web, we've had a number of requests to bring the program back. Now that we've gotten most of the bugs worked out of the system, and a decent number of users, we figure that we're ready to give it a shot.
There are some caveats, but if you're game, so are we.
Signing Up To Be A Rep
Signing up to be a rep for The Lead Generator involves two steps. First, read this overview, and if you decide that you want to do it, let us know by sending us your contact information so we can send you a Repping Agreement and assign you a Promotion Code. Once you have your Promotion Code, you can begin promoting The Lead Generator according to the guidelines below. You will get credit for subscriptions associated with your Promotion Code. There is no cost to become a rep, other than the cost of your promotions.
Promoting The Lead Generator
As you know, the more users there are on the system, the more leads there are. It grows geometrically, and gets better as it grows. You can go after just one market, like your regional area or a specific industry segment, or you can go after a national or cross-industry market. You can also target specific types of individuals (like sales or marketing people, purchasing managers or business owners,) or any other group (your local Chamber of Commerce, a list of subscribers to a newsletter, etc.) You can also set up an MLM downline and share the commission. Within reasonable limits, it's up to you.
There are many ways to promote The Lead Generator, some of which cost money, but many of which are free. Again, you can choose how you want to promote it, as long as you are honest and legal in your promotions, and you tell us what you're going to do. If not, we can't really support you.
Some of the techniques that work include internet classified ads, bulk email, direct mail (letters and postcards), commercial advertising, word-of-mouth, publicity, premiums, networking events, co-marketing with Chambers of Commerce and other business organizations, trade show handouts (like a business card with the URL and your Promotion Code on it,) newsletters, links, banner ads, referral programs, ezines and opt-in email. We find that response rates vary, but three exposures to one person is better (by a factor of 10,) than one exposure to each of three people.

Pricing
With the launch of this program, we are finally going to have to start charging users. (Otherwise, of course, where is the money going to come from to compensate you for promoting it?) The price of the system will be $24.95 per month per Account for unlimited usage.
Promotional Pricing
Promotional pricing, such as a month of free usage is available for you to offer new subscribers as an incentive to sign up. You must, however, tell us that you are offering it, what the terms are, and to whom it applies so we can put it in the system. If you don't tell us, we can't apply the credit (through the assignment of your Promotion Code), and your customers will be very upset.
Billing
We will take care of billing the users, and will pay you your commissions within 60 days of collection. If the users don't provide a valid credit card number, we can't collect, and you can't get paid. Also, if they don't pay their bill, we can't pay you.
Commissions
We will pay a commission of 20% based on the collected monthly subscription fees associated with your Promotion Codes for as long as the users who registered with your Promotion Code continue to use and pay for their access to The Lead Generator under the UserID that they got when they registered with your Promotion Code, for up to two years for each user you sign up. Thereafter the commission drops to 10% for one year, after which the residual ends.
Getting Credit
In order for you to get credit for bringing a new user to The Lead Generator, that user has to register to use The Lead Generator using a code that enables us to link them to you. Here's how it works.
You will notice that the New User Registration form has a space where new users can enter a Promotion Code when they register to use The Lead Generator. For users who are responding to your promotions, this Promotion Code will be a code that you need to tell them in your promotions. You also have to tell them to enter it on the Registration form when they register (so for example, they can take advantage of any incentives, such as a month's free usage, that you are offering.) We will assign you your Promotion Code when you decide that you want to be a rep, and that code will have a specific value (e.g. one month free usage, etc.)
Again, you will get credit for users who enter your Promotion Code when they register, so be sure to include it in all your promotions.
